The debutt album from Mill Valley DJ @hellatallbaby is a narratively driven instrumental album showcasing 7 “beats” that are by design able to spun from 88 BPM to 140 BPM at least. This is to establish HTB as a musically (yeah uh just musically) androgynous DJ capable of liquefying genre and BPM. If ur a DJ I recommend popping this into serato, practice some DJ moves on it, and PuSh the tempo cus most of these tracks are long, simple, and spacious. Ideal for experimentation during a performance. This album is dedicated to the POC who pioneered the rave and hip hop sounds of today and yesterday. And to the queers in my community who were so well versed in the art of healing and taught me about self and mutual care on a micro and macro level. And to my gf :3.
